17 Ideas For Date Nights At Home
When you become a parent, you can no longer just spontaneously go out to dinner or see a movie. It needs to be a planned event normally a few days to a week in advance and that is if you can get babysitters. Keeping your relationship going with your partner is important and instead of just missing the days, look at these 17 ways you can have a date night at home.
- Sit down with a glass of wine and have a conversation. An adult one!
- Cheese Tasting
- Movie Night with some real popcorn or what ever treat you normally love when going to the movies
- Game Night. Such as board or card games.
- Picnic in the living room. Not such a good idea with a dog.
- Candle lit dinners
- Bubblebath or spa
- Listening to some music
- Fondue
- If you have a trampoline (highly likely) then lie back and watch the stars or you could just get a blanket and lay out in the back.
- Plan out a holiday regardless of when you plan to take it
- Massage each other
- Organizing old photos from the days when digital cameras weren’t in everyones pocket
- Bake something together
- Do a craft project
- Help out a charity. There may be something you could both do at home together to benefit a charity
- Singing or Karoake (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmp_i5k6Gwk for inspiration)
It all depends on what you both like. The main point is to do something to start interacting as a couple again.
